The requirements of Media Asset Management have become increasingly complex in recent years, with the proliferation of digital content and the need to store, organize, and search through vast amounts of data. To help video teams and businesses navigate these challenges, Axle AI recently hosted a webinar featuring customer Scott Salik of Carpe Canum Media, Inc, plus Sam Bogoch, Patrice Gouttebel, and Rachel Fearon of Axle AI. The session covered the latest trends in media management, AI, and the video industry, followed by a demo of key product features and a Q&A session.
The webinar began with an overview of the current state of the media industry and the challenges faced by businesses in managing their content. The speakers discussed the importance of having a comprehensive media management strategy in place, which includes not only media and data storage but also the ability to search through vast amounts of metadata quickly and efficiently. The importance of AI in automating tasks and improving workflow efficiency was a central theme.
Axle customer Scott Salik talked about how Carpe Canum Media, Inc. use Axle ai’s MAM: “What Axle allows us to do is using all their different technologies, by tagging things, by using the AI transcription. It allows us to quickly search for footage and then get that tagged and marked in a bin in Axle AI. Then to be able to get it to an editor, get the swats, the spots swapped and get it to the TV side to get it on the air. “
He also commented on giving clients access to Axel so they can tag the footage directly. That allows them to know better and faster what the client is looking for, what they like, what shots they like, what they call specific things, they’ll tag faces, etc. “We’ll be connecting all the media access that makes it really simple. We have people over the world that access Axle and allows us to act to move really really fast. (…) I’ll sound like an old person now but I’ve been in the business for 40 years and what Axle allows me to do is to work less and work quicker and I think that’s one of the great things about it.”
One of the key takeaways from the webinar was the importance of having a flexible media management system that can adapt to changing business needs. Axle AI‘s platform was showcased as a tool that can help businesses achieve this flexibility, with its ability to integrate with existing workflows and easily scale up or down as needed.
The webinar also included a demo of key product features, including Axle AI’s advanced search capabilities and its ability to integrate with other tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro with the extensions for the Adobe Creative Cloud applications. The Q&A session provided an opportunity for attendees to ask questions about the platform and its features, with the speakers providing valuable insights and advice based on their extensive experience in the industry.
Overall, the webinar was an excellent overview of the latest trends in media management and AI, and the ways in which businesses can leverage technology to improve their operations and gain a competitive edge. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about these topics.
